Yemeni president wants medical treatment in NYC

See it on TV? Check here.   Eyewitness NewsNEW YORK (WABC) -- The Obama administration is debating whether to allow the embattled and ailing president of Yemen to come to New York.

President Ali Abdullah Saleh needs treatment for ongoing medical problems from a bomb blast at his presidential compound that nearly killed him last June.

The White House worries that the United States would come under intense criticism for allowing Saleh a safe haven after his policies led to the deaths of hundreds of demonstrators.
