Eyewitness NewsBALTIMORE (WABC) -- There were thrills and chills, but no spills, high above Baltimore's Inner Harbor Wednesday.
Tightrope walker Nik Wallenda, of the Flying Wallendas, had a close call 100 feet up in the air after he briefly lost his balance when he was just steps away from the end of his 300-foot journey.
The trip took Wallenda about 15 minutes.
Wallenda walked onto a floating crane on a barge in the harbor. He wasn't the first to attempt the feat. His great grandfather, Karl Wallenda, also walked over the harbor in 1973.Nik Wallenda plans to walk above Niagara Falls next month. The 1,800-foot walk in New York will take about a half hour.
