Eyewitness NewsNEW YORK -- A New York City subway conductor is accused of punching a teenage passenger in the face after the two got into an argument.
Authorities say conductor Thomas Christopher was arrested following the altercation on the southbound R train near or at the 36th Street stop in Queens. The conductor was arrested on a charge of misdemeanor assault.
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority says the 35-year-old employee has worked with the agency since 2007.
The MTA said it did not immediately have further details on the employee's background or the incident.Police say it was about 3:50 a.m. Sunday when Christopher and an 18-year-old male got into an argument, which then turned physical.
