Eyewitness NewsMASPETH (WABC) -- Two people are dead following a bad accident on the Long Island Expressway in Queens. A taxi and a Porsche collided right near the Maurice Avenue exit just after midnight.
The damaged cab was then hit by a garbage truck.
A 52 year old man and a 59 year old woman in the taxi were killed.An 11 year old boy is hospitalized in stable condition with broken ribs.
The westbound lanes of the expressway were re-opened at 4:30 this morning.
No charges were filed.
