Eyewitness NewsLOWER MANHATTAN (WABC) -- Police are searching for a burglar who has broken into eight businesses in Lower Manhattan. The suspect was caught on surveillance cameras, and police are hoping the image will lead to an arrest.
Police say the suspect breaks a hole in walls or doors of businesses in the middle of the night and steals cash and property.
He has hit six restaurants and one boutique in the last two months. Police say he also broke into a real estate company, but did not take anything.The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic man wearing blue jeans, a light-colored shirt and a black jacket with a hood. He often wears a dark-colored bag around his waist.
Anyone with information should contact police.
