Ryan Reynolds weds Blake Lively, 'Green Lantern' co-star - report

Have Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, who starred together in the 2011 superhero movie "Green Lantern," tied the knot?

People magazine reported on Sunday that the pair, who have been linked romantically for almost a year, wed that night at Boone Hall Plantation in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, near Charleston, and that the actress' friend, Florence Welch of the band Florence + The Machine, performed at the ceremony. Reps for the two actors had no immediate comment.

The news was reported earlier by Charleston radio station 95.1 FM.

Reynolds, 35, played the superhero and alter ego Hal Jordan in "Green Lantern," while Lively, 25, portrayed his love interest, Carol Ferris. She is also known for her role as Serena on the CW drama series "Gossip Girl."

Employees at the venue where the wedding reportedly took place are keeping mum about the matter.

"We are receiving a number of inquiries this morning. From time to time Boone Hall Plantation hosts celebrity events. We respect the privacy of the individuals involved at these events. We thank you for your inquiries," read a message posted on the Facebook page of Boone Hall Plantation on Monday morning.

The two were first linked romantically around the fall of 2011, several months after "Green Lantern" was released. They have kept mum when asked about their reported relationship. People magazine reported that the two had earlier this year bought a home together in Bedford, New York.

Reynolds, a former Canadian child star who famously played the title role in the comedy "Van Wilder" and was named the "Sexiest Man Alive in 2010" by People, was previously married for two years to actress Scarlett Johansson. Their finalized their divorce in July 2011. Lively, who once dated her "Gossip Girl" co-star Penn Badgely and has in the past also been linked romantically to Leonardo DiCaprio, has never been married before.

The Trend:Peyton Manning, Ryan Reynolds and Lifting Obama

Good morning!

The Republican National Convention is the hot topic as Mitt Romney gained a historic nomination for President, becoming the first Mormon to ever be a party's choice for president.    While Romney had his crowning moment, his wife, Ann, and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie had the spotlight.    Ann Romney made a clear appeal to women, a group that has not rallied to her husband's campaign.  "I love you women!  And I hear your voices," she said.  "You are the best of America."   Romney painted her story as one not of a fairytale, but "a real marriage" that included five boys and struggles with MS and breast cancer.   She received her biggest ovation when she said of her husband, "No one will move heaven and earth like Mitt Romney to make this country a better place to live."

Governor Christie delivered the night-ending keynote address, usually sharp on attacks on the opponent.   But Christie avoid mentioning President Obama by name, and spent a long time talking about his own life and record as governor.   He capped the speech by labeling "Mr. President" as a poll-driven leaderless politician.  "I'm here to tell you tonight that it is time to end this era of absentee leadership in the Oval Office and send real leaders to the White House.  America needs Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan and we need them right now," he said.

Both speeches drew immediate reaction on Facebook and Twitter.  Here is a sampling from Twitter:

What I learned from the RNC: 2) Ann Romney is genuinely in love and thinks Mitt is a great man. She also knows how to do what she is told.

Ann Romney came across as a sincerely good person last night. Love drives her. Then Christie came out yelling about respect over love.

The convention continues tonight with Rep. Paul Ryan accepting the Republican nomination for Vice President.  We'll have streaming coverage of the RNC on 7online.   ABC News coverage begins at 10:00 p.m. on Channel 7.

Lots of tweeting about New Orleans and Louisiana this morning as Hurricane Isaac hammers the region on the same day that Katrina did her damage seven years ago.  Isaac is no Katrina, but the storm is still causing flooding and damage along the Gulf Coast.

Kelsey Grammer is trending after he and his fourth wife Kayte Walsh sat down for an interview with Oprah about Kayte's role in the end of the actor's 13-year marriage to Camille Grammer.    The couple's divorce played out on the Bravo series "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," where Camille accused Kelsey of cheating on her.  He was, with Kayte.   They're now married with a baby.  As for Camille, Kelsey said  she always wanted to be famous and was angry because she had given up so much to be with him.

Someone has stolen Dr. Phil's '57 Chevy.   According to TMZ, Phil and a friend were working on the classic car, but could not get it started.   So, they stuck it on a flatbed to a repair shop in Burbank.   Several hours later, word came that someone stole the vehicle valued at $100,000.

The childhood home of Muhammad Ali is up for sale.  The owner is asking $50,000 for the small white house in western Louisville where the boxing legend grew up as Cassius Clay.   A state historical marker sits outside the house, recognizing that Ali once lived there with his parents and brother.

From YouTube, a man who can imitate a motorcycle.  He' quite good.

And here we have an encounter with a Koala while kanoeing.

And finally, twin babies dancing to daddy's guitar.

That's the trend!

Have a terrific day!
