2 stabbed in Massapequa parking lot

Police on the scene of a stabbing where two people were wounded in Massapequa on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012.

  Eyewitness NewsMASSAPEQUA (WABC) -- A Good Samaritan is credited with saving a woman from an attack in the parking lot of a Massapequa shopping center.

The stabbing happened in the lot of the shopping center in the 900 block of Carmans Road in Massapequa around 10:00 a.m.

According to investigators, some sort of attack involving a man and a woman was taking place inside a car.

A Good Samaritan heard the attack, break a window on the vehicle and the attack stopped.

A man and a woman were taken to local hospitals in serious condition.

Police say this is an active investigation. They would not say whether or not they are looking for a suspect.

No word on motive.

School bus accident in Massapequa

  Eyewitness NewsMASSAPEQUA (WABC) -- A school bus and car collided in Massapequa this morning.

The force of the crash, at the intersection of Merrick Road and Park Boulevard, flipped the car onto its side just after 7:30 a.m.

Two people in that vehicle were being treated.

Students were on the school bus, but none sustained serious injuries.

They were being transferred to another bus. They will be evaluated.
