Suspicious package found at New London bus station
Eyewitness NewsNEW LONDON, Conn. -- Police are investigating a suspicious package at the New London bus station that has led to delays on a nearby Amtrak line. The package was discovered late Tuesday morning and also forced the closure of streets around the station and the evacuation of nearby buildings.
An Amtrak spokesman says three trains on the Boston to New York route have been stopped as a precaution because the bus station is close to the train station. There are no reported problems with Amtrak trains or tracks.
