What follows the epic shopping day that is Black Friday is the online bonanza known as Cyber Monday.

Cyber Monday started in 2005, when Shop.org, part of the National Retail Federation, coined the phrase in a press release touting the Monday after Black Friday as one of the biggest online shopping days of the year. Since then, Shop.org has launched CyberMonday.com to highlight the best deals from more than 700 online retailers.

CyberMonday.com helps you find special offers, including free shipping at hundreds of merchants during the holiday and even throughout the year. 11/17/2011 The 36th Annual Great American Smokeout

Today is the American Cancer Society's 36th annual Great American Smokeout, so what better day to curb the habit? The event encourages smokers to use make a plan to quit or to go cold turkey and quit smoking today. By doing so, smokers will be taking an important step towards a healthier life, one that can lead to reducing cancer risk.

Tobacco use remains the single largest preventable cause of disease and premature death in the US, yet more than 46 million Americans still smoke. However, more than half of these smokers have attempted to quit for at least one day in the past year.

Quitting is hard, but you can increase your chances of success with help. The American Cancer Society can tell you about the steps you can take to quit smoking and provide the resources and support that can increase your chances of quitting successfully. To learn about the available tools, call the American Cancer Society at 1-800-227-2345.
